Sprouted grains: A superfood par excellence!

Sprouted grains refer to all grains whose metabolism, awakened by the contact between water and heat, starts to grow with water and light. Grains are real dynamos in terms of vitamins, protein, carbohydrates, micronutrients and enzymes. From the soaking phase, at the moment of the pre-germination process of the grain, remarkable molecular modifications occur and all of the alchemy of life starts to work.

The enzymes, previously asleep, wake up and proliferate, resulting in a cascade of biological transformations of the proteins, the fats and the starches, all made more digestible thanks to the action of the enzymes.

The vitamins, minerals and micronutrients grow and increase in a stupefying manner – for example, the Vitamin C in mungo beans or green soybeans, is multiplied by five and that of sprouted wheat is multiplied by six !
